The chief task of pastoral ministry is to arrange the contingencies for an encounter with the Divine – Dietrich Bonhoeffer
We absolutely want to have a solid understanding of the Truth. But we are fully aware that the Truth is actually a Person. His name is Jesus. He is alive and we can know him personally and have a relationship with him. Therefore, we also emphasise the importance of encountering him. Our core values are not only meant to be understood, they are meant to be experienced.
Father’s Love revealed through the Lord Jesus Christ
The Cross of Christ reveals the radical nature of God’s love for humanity. Jesus died on the Cross fully in control and completely self-sacrificially. He did this because it was the only way that humanity could be reconciled with God our Creator. His sacrifice on the Cross has purchased incredible benefits for us who believe – relationship with God now, eternal and abundant life, healing, deliverance and restoration.
One of the great revelations that came through Jesus is that God is not just our Creator; he is our wonderful Good Father. He loves us. He loves us in the same way that he loves Jesus!
When we begin to experience – not just understand – this love of the Father we are transformed from the inside out. We begin to live in the reality that we are sons or daughters of the living God. We become more secure in who we are and are less pushed around by thoughts that don’t line up with God’s view of us. We are then on the road to fulfilling our God-designed destiny and purpose! Life is so much better then!
Intimacy, Presence, & Hearing God’s Voice
God is our Father; Jesus is our Bridegroom. The church is His Bride. God desires lovers more than he needs servants. Heart to heart relationship with a love sick Bride is the goal of the Bridegroom God. God is always speaking; we need to get better at tuning into his voice. Rules and principles for living are good; knowing God in a relational way and being led by his Spirit is much better. It is his preferred way of relating to us! The Scriptures are the plumbline that teaches us His ways.
Restoring the Heart / Soul
We are all broken people living in a fallen world. We have hurt other people and have been hurt by other people. No one is exempt. We have found that the good news of God’s love for us and keys like forgiveness, confession and repentance can bring deep-level healing to us. We don’t have to live with long standing bitterness, rejection, shame, abandonment, and other issues coming from broken relationships. God wants us to live in as much freedom as we can handle! He has given us some tools to help us experience greater measures of healing. We have seen people all across the globe being touched, healed and transformed.
Extending the Kingdom through the equipping, empowering and anointing of the Holy Spirit
We’ve heard it said that our destination is heaven but our assignment is bringing heaven to earth. Jesus taught us to pray, “Let your Kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The coming of God’s Kingdom includes justice and righteousness as well as living a supernatural lifestyle. We love praying for the sick and prophesying. We have seen the Lord perform signs, wonders and miracles. More Lord!!
